High-end fashion does not always adapt to the younger generation. However, some top fashion houses have decided not to neglect the youth and establish labels more appropriate for them. Recently, Dolce & Gabbana decided to terminate D&G, inspiring us to put the spotlight on the uniqueness of those labels.

The Spring 2012 show was D&G’s farewell show. Whether it's because of the world's economic crisis or for some other reason, top designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have decided that two labels are more than enough. This change means that there will no longer be colorful young D&G collections on the runways, no more casual designs and no more hot models in sexy D&G street fashion.

Many top fashion houses are realizing they should invest in fashion for our youth. By doing so, the younger generation will get used to the designer's collections and as they grow up will purchase more from the fashion house. Roberto Cavalli started his fashion career in the 1970s. In 1998 he understood that elite fashion does not necessarily meet the taste of the young generation. Upon this realization, he decided to launch a more controversial line under the brand “Just Cavalli.” This sub-label has expanded and produces men’s wear, eye wear, underwear, fragrances and of course – women’s wear. If you like Roberto Cavalli's famous animal print outfits, Just Cavalli can offer you just that yet cheaper and casual.

In 1989 the late Gianni Versace decided to give a present to his sister, Donatella. He decided to launch a new diffusion line under the name Versus. According to Versace, Versus aims to anticipate new trends with a strong focus on innovation and unconventional designs. Donatella's fashion vision led the young brand to major success until 2005. Due to downturn in profits, Donatella Versace shut down the rock-chic label. Four years later, with the assistance of designer Christopher Kane, Versus was relaunched with a capsule collection of handbags, shoes and jewels.

Luxury clothes and accessories for men and women are at the heart of the Prada fashion house. In 1992 head designer Miuccia Prada decided to launch “Miu Miu.” The new brand was aimed mostly to a younger crowd and celebrities. To emphasize the difference between the brands, Miu Miu spokesmodels were always young celebrities, such as Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, and Kirsten Dunst. The current face of Miu Miu is 15-year-old model Hailee Steinfeld.

Marc Jacobs is a very talented designer who collaborated with several top fashion designers. In 2001 he came to the conclusion that the younger generation deserves a cool and high-quality fashion collection. His diffusion line – Marc by Marc Jacobs – became popular with a blink of an eye. Nowadays, with the economic crisis, Marc by Marc Jacobs began selling low-price accessories – even colorful socks, key chains, cell phone cases and earphones.

Giorgio Armani's fashion house specializes in high-end fashion and remarkable haute couture collections. The Emporio Armani brand on the otherhand focuses on trends and more modern fashion. This diffusion line is best known for its luxurious and curious designs which all have a fashionable trendy switch. The faces of Emporio Armani feature football player Christiano Ronaldo and Hollywood star Megan Fox. These two illustrate the fabulous Emporio Armani combination of luxury and sex appeal.

Versace, Cavalli, Prada, Marc Jacobs and other top designers believe there is a place for more flamboyant, casual and younger lines. Is your favorite fashion designer not listed here? If launching a more youthful line isn’t on your fashion designer’s to-do list, maybe he/she will collaborate with retailer fashion stores such as H&M like Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin or Sonia Rykiel. Nowadays high-end fashion really isn’t unattainable.
